Draft Picks and the New Reality

If there is only one news story you read today, this should be it...

This development has the potential to be the crack in the dyke of shit that is necessary to hasten it's complete disintegration.

But...They are not stupid....

Recruiting for any branch of the military had only gotten more difficult since the Vietnam era. An incentive was needed - and one was found, in yet another developmental offshoot of 9/11...intended or not.

The goons who treat the military as their own personal butler/killing service have plans for endless war - endless profits - but they have to forment the circumstances conducive to these wars if they don't already exist. And they usually don't. People are generally loathe to butcher each other - but hunger, desperation, insanity, and percieved neccessity will get us there...

And all of those conditions can be formented by anyone with the resources and the inclination.

Anyway, these clowns can't just institute a new Draft to populate the killing fields. This is because Americanada was founded with the intention of establishing free nations, and we had it going great for a while...

But since the Profit Parasites latched on, we have been struggling...a tireless minority defending our freedom while the majority of us have forgotten the wretched histories our great-great-great grandparents...while slowly, inexorably, the walls closed in.

Vietnam was such a debacle that the idea of a Draft had to be thrown in the dustbin for a generation...

Then the moronic profit barge called the Cold War finally ended, kind of, and Pearl Jam came out with Jeremy, and movies like Robocop had badass anticorporate messages... Bear with me...

The Empire, fuelled for so long through hatred and subservience, was under threat from common sense and human compassion...So we had to become Americanada the Good, intervening to stop slaughter, feeding the poor and mending fences...Generally Helping Out.

That is the mindset and time period that we grew up in - a tiny, golden sliver of relative peace and prosperity, wrapped in a golden blanket of spin and bullshit, for a fraction of the World's population. That was us.

These days, for whatever reason, they have decided that it is time for a new Us - a new Reality.

And they wanted this New Reality implemented pronto... Like, yesterday. There was no time for another twenty-five years of "nudging" us along....they needed the Big One.

And they got it. And that got "the ball rolling"as they like to say.

Now we are living in the New Reality, and it's starting to get a little too Real for some people. It is quite likely that it will soon get too Real for most of us.

This is the age of the Manufactured Draft, the Economic Draft, the Corporate Draft..

This is the Advanced Capitalism of creating your own unspeakable crises - forever - because the best time to invest is when the blood is flowing in the streets...

In spite of all the garbo flying around, there is still good news to be found...

Sometimes I catch myself reading the paper (screen) and I'll start laughing, like "As if the Church actually exists...How ridiculous is it? A bunch of child rapists playing dress up. People sure are stupid."

But then I catch myself again, remembering that back then there was no internet and therefore people were indeed, if not stupid, lacking in information from which to draw more rational conclusions.

But now... Now we know that even the programs they run to help the sick and poor constitute a fraction of their wealth...which they have acquired by guilting it out of people on the regular....Or through old fashioned murder...

Now that we know they molest children...

Now that we can truly see them for the blood-soaked abominations that they are...And the institution they've built from agony and sadistic cruelty...

Am I repeating myself? Yes. They repeat themselves.

As I was saying...Now that we see the Church for what it is...And Big Business for what it is....and Macro Government for what it is....

Then maybe this makes a bit more sense:
