Lackronyms

The National Post offered up this today - and while I can appreciate Mr. Frum's observations, I have to disagree with his conclusion...

Why there is no public wave of rebellion in the wake of the greatest swindle in US history is a complex answer.

TV, Burger King, Effexor, Fluoride...

Cobain, 50 Cent, Iraq, Israel....

Clear Channel, Dow, Lockheed-Matrtin, Carlyle....

CIA, DEA, RFID, CCTV, HAARP...

Now I just feel woozy.

And abstract. What the hell do all these letters mean?

You scrape lines into a very thin piece of wood and it means something...

Why and how do we expect language to be able to accurately describe what we experience?

Concepts are limited by the tools with which we describe them - words.

Destroy words, and you destroy possibility...
